Auditorium ~ Are Karioi

The Are Karioi (National Auditorium) is the biggest multi complex of it's kind in the Cook Islands capable of holding indoor sports events,concerts, musicals and staging indigenous music and dances of the Cook Islands.

Situated in the capital town of Avarua, the National Auditorium stands proud of its commitment to the nation with a blossoming cultural identity with the wider South Pacific community.

Built in 1992, the Auditiorium is located in Te Puna Korero, Cook Islands National Culture Centre. Are Karioi Nui which literally means 'a place of meeting and sharing cultures' is a further symbol of its positive cultural spirit.

Provisions
For indoor sports, we offer international standard size courts for basketball, netball and volleyball with capabilities to cater for tennis, soccer and badminton. Covered seats are a bonus at 1,100 plus.

Stage Musical Productions are easily accommodated. Our main stage is capable of holding 50 performers with room to move. It is a fully equipped modern stage with full riggings for canvases, lighting and a great sound system to beat.

Portable PA Sound System
VIP reception room

Arrangements can also be made for anything you need to give your best performance.
