Te Mire Atu Results 2017

The Ministry of Cultural Development staged its first National Calendar Event ‘Bluesky Te Mire Atu 2017” to an appreciative Audience that included the Minister of Finance Hon Mark Brown and Mrs Brown; Mrs Akaiti Puna (Prime Minister’s wife), the Kaumaiti Nui Travel Tou & Mrs Tou and a great representation from the Sponsors who supported the Event.

After the Opening Speech by the Secretary of Culture, Anthony Turua, 10 Cook Islands Composers (that included a handful of former Champions) thrilled the crowd who attended.  Backed by the Heimana Houseband comprising of talented Cook Islanders Jerome Pare, Henry Tupou & Kutia Tuteru the night belonged to the Composers.

Using the Te Maeva Nui 2017 theme “Te au Mānga a toku Matakeinanga”-the Tribal Foods of my Community, the Judges had the tough task of choosing the top 3 Winners.
